LCDC call for Judicial Review of Uber License Decision

The LCDC have today called for a Judicial Review of the Uber Licensing Decision in light of Emma Arbuthnot’s statement regarding a possible conflict of interest with her husbands business interests and links to Uber.

Grant Davis, Chairman of the LCDC said

“As we have all witnessed, UBER have been granted a 15 month probationary license to operate in London.

The Court Case was presided over by Chief magistrate, District Judge Emma Arbuthnot who has now decided to “step aside” from any more UBER hearings due to any perceived conflict of interest as a result of her husband being a fee earning 2senior Consultant” of SC Strategy.

The Cab trade now believes that our Mayor Sadiq Khan as Head of TFL should now be demanding and instigating a Judicial Review of the decision made in Court.

The Cab trade feels that the “conflict of interest” issues that has caused Emma Arbuthnot to stand down from any other future UBER court cases in the future is enough evidence for a retrial so that justice can be seen to be done.

All other taxi trade Orgs except Unite have supported this petition so we are now asking for your  support in signing up.”

Thank you

Grant Davis
Chairman LCDC
