Manufacturers

The LCDC over the last few years developed excellent relations with our two vehicle manufactures, London Taxi Company and Mercedes also including Penso who fit out the Vito model on behalf of Mercedes. The LCDC took the initiative to liaise with the manufactures of our taxi; we have attended many meetings with the manufactures and have been received very well with lots of positive feedback from all parties. Firstly to try and have some input on exactly what the requirements are for the working taxi driver but also cost implications and any other related issues that we can discuss with the manufactures. We feel that we are making progress albeit slowly for the manufactures to supply and deliver the best possible taxi for the working taxi driver.
